Not to be confused with the two pronged gopiyantra/gopichan, the similar concept tuntuna, the dotara-like tokari or the pulluvan kudam.
Used in folk music of the Bengal, Odisha and north-east India, the soundbox is a drum-like wooden cylinder with a membrane at one end held underneath an arm, attached to the membrane is a single string which is plucked with a pick. It is known by many names.
