Kerb Crawler

~ Recording by Hawkwind

Annotation

Note the 2009 release of Astounding Sounds, Astounding Music has two copies of this track. The second one marked as (single mix). At some point those versions have ended up merged into this one recording.

Are they separate? Should they be separated?

Wikipedia notes: There are reportedly two versions of the A-side, the original mix and a remix by David Gilmour, although the latter is the most common and the version that appeared on the album.

So that hints that the album used the "single version" anyway which seems to be backed up by AcoustIDs and a bit of a listen.

AcoustID 681d34cb-9147-4960-82ab-33c48a887039 appears on 1989 CD of Astounding Sounds, Amazing Music, 2003 Epocheclipse: 20 year Anthology and Single version on Dust of Time: 1969–2021. They don't sound different. Someone with a 2009 copy of Astounding Sounds may need to update this note...
